Christmas Cake Mixes 2025

Annually, since the shop opened in 2022, we have offered customers the opportunity to make their own traditional Christmas Cakes, but without the fuss!

A delicious recipe. Selected ingredients already weighed out. The quick and easy method. Done. No leftover ingredients which might go to waste. No weighing. Just tip it all in to a bowl, mix, bake, and feed up to Christmas!

Last year we made 90 mixes between September 15th and December 1st and this year we plan to squeeze in 120 slots. The recipe is a traditional mix by Mary Berry and we also have a vegan alternative. Both involve 1kg of mixed fruit but this can be chosen as standard mixed fruit or selected mix (see below).

So how does it work?

Simply select the Christmas cake mix you would like and a preferred collection date from the options below and then drop Steph an email at reedsrefill@gmail.com or a Facebook message saying you’d like to order a Christmas Cake. We cannot guarantee that date will be available as they do get booked up but we’ll happily update you with the latest spaces in our reply if needed.

Your slot will then be confirmed and on that date you simply turn up at the shop during opening hours to pick up and pay for it – no need to pay in advance. The cake mix will be ready and packed up by 9:30am and includes the recipe too. If you’re not making the cake straight away put the ingredients in an air-tight container when you get home.

If you visit our social media pages (Facebook/Instagram) we will be posting pictures of last year’s amazing cakes sent in by customers, and our own cake of course which I devoured!

So what are the mix choices?

• • Mixed Fruit (500g) & Cranberries (500g) £13.50

• • Mixed Fruit (750g) & Glacé Cherries (250g) £12.00

• • Mixed Fruit (500g) & Cranberries (250g) & Glace Cherries (250g) £13.25

• • Raisins, Sultanas, Cranberries, Glace Cherries (250g each) £13.25

• Any of the mixes above as a vegan recipe +50p
• Other fruits are available by special request – just ask

Dates for collection:

• • Tues 25th Nov (2), Weds 26th Nov (3), Thurs 27th Nov (2), Fri 28th Nov (3), Sat 29th Nov (2)

We alternate weeks to ensure that we are thoroughly restocked during the busy period. There are three available slots on each day (unless otherwise amended to show availability) so you’re welcome to order a mix for someone else at the same time; maybe a family member or neighbour?

The other ingredients supplied in the mix include: Sugar, Flour, Almonds, Baking Powder, Spices.

You are also welcome to ask for your own favourite Christmas Cake mix to be weighed out and prepared – maybe it’s a family recipe or one by another baker. Simply contact us as detailed above to book a slot and get the recipe to us in good time before the collection date.
